ClearMotive was originally called Switch Marketing, and at the very beginning, all of the work was done during the moonlight hours. As a full-time IT professional, Chad worked on brochure and website projects for family friends who had small businesses.
Chad’s first job was to rebuild a new site for Blackfoot Motorsports. This is where he sharpened his marketing knowledge. Working on it nearly every day and creating reasons for Blackfoot customers to come back again and again, blackfootonline.com began to grow. Within two years, Blackfoot’s website saw over 5 million hits in a single month.
Chad met Tyler Chisholm in 2001, when Tyler asked Chad to develop his corporate identity pieces, marketing collateral and all advertising for his company (BodyPrint). As the two worked together, one thing became clear: Tyler understood business growth like Chad understood creative. A perfect match. In 2006, Tyler officially came on as a partner.
As the business grew, the basement office of Chad’s home just wouldn’t cut it. Looking for a creative environment in the center of the action, the guys purchased a penthouse loft in Calgary’s Beltline. Along with the new space came ClearMotive’s first full-time hire.
As the projects grew in scope, ClearMotive hired more talented creative marketing professionals, and an office administrator. Today, ClearMotive employs copywriters, print designers, web specialists, programmers, SEO & SEM professionals, strategists, application developers and motion designers. ClearMotive is a full-service agency for small businesses and large businesses alike.
