Aware of a significant shortage in qualified physiotherapists for their growing national clinic base, LifeMark Health needed a more effective way to generate resumes. Career placement agencies were far too expensive and with over 120 locations, posting ads in local newspapers was time-intensive and produced very little quality results. ClearMotive produced a much more effective way to use technology to showcase their national brand and attract more, quality, resumes.

After a few initial consulting conversations with LifeMark, we created a solid online strategy with one clear goal: Get more qualified resumes. ClearMotive determined an initial goal of attracting resumes for their 5 most difficult to fill clinical positions. We created a very small site with 5 pages to test our theories. Each page had a goal to attract one of their 5 main positions: physiotherapists, massage therapists, clinic directors, kinesiologists, and occupational therapists. A successful Google Pay-Per-Click campaign drove qualified traffic to the sites. This worked exceptionally well. Due to escalating success in generating qualified leads, the 5 landing pages were unified into a fully functioning recruitment site – lifemarkcareers.ca.
Once we established success on a small scale, we recommended a larger campaign, and now, LifeMark uses their careers site exclusively, to attract new people. As a national organization with 11 regions, 10 divisions and over 1800 staff, they use one site and have reduced their recruitment costs by $240,000 in the first year.
LifeMarkCareers.com is now an online resource management tool where applicants can search jobs from coast to coast, and post their application in one sophisticated portal, easily managed internally at LifeMark. The site evolved into a brand extension of LifeMark itself, where potential candidates understand and buy into the LifeMark culture before they even submit their resume.
LifeMark saved over $240,000 on recruiting costs in their first year. The number of online visitors has quadrupled and LifeMark receives over 650 pre-qualified applicants per month.
