Law of Messaging

Throw One Ball At A Time. If I was to throw 12 tennis balls at you at once, you’d be lucky to catch one. When each ball is thrown sequentially, you’ll catch every one. Such is the law of messaging: Determine the most compelling reason to buy from your business, and then find as many ways to tell that one message as you can. Never throw more than one ball at a time. Every advertising media has a different set of messaging rules associated with it. That means a message for TV will need to be modified for magazine, and a message for your web site should be adapted to your social media strategy. When your customer understands the message, throw another ball.
